New Schedule on the web!

The new schedule is now on the website, there are lots of good workshops so get your calendars and check it out. Early Bird registrations are now being taken, if you are paid up during registration week, February 9-13, you can take 20% off class supplies that week only. Several workshops are already filling so don't wait too long. We are going to have a super spring at VFS!

I did the stenciling for the sample of In the Pocket, and Fly Away this week. The green hand paint was a fun background and with the pattern title of Fly Away, the dragonflies were just perfect. The paintstik colors are the ones in the special scrap therapy set, but I used a stencil I already had rather than the spiral or leaves designed for this project. By next weekend I should have everything pieced for you, but I thought you might like this sneak peek at the Custom Stenciled fabric. I will be doing a demonstration on Feb. 13, at 11 am. It is so much fun, and really easy. You will want to take the workshop and create the perfect fabrics for your project.

This week coming up is a busy one, Handstitchers on Tuesday is beginning smocking. The supply list is at www.clubsuppplies-vfs.blogspot.com I do have the smocking stickers in stock. Thursday is a Scrap Therapy Cutting session, and Saturday is the second meeting of the new Block of the Month. It is not too late to get involved if you are interested come on by and I can get you set up.

The special this weekend is on Sulky Totally Stable, an iron on tear away stabilizer that is great for machine applique and embroidery work. 10% off lets you try it out and see how much flatter your work is with this ironed to the back of your work while you stitch. It then simply tears away. It will help your William Morris Blocks stay nice and flat while you fasten down those edges of the fused applique. Have fun and We will see you soon.
