Yes I am as excited as you are. I can't wait to get you all started on this stunning project. I know that 9 am on January 2 may feel early but it will be worth it. You are welcome to bring a mug of whatever form of caffeine works for you. I actually brought my copy of the book with me on Christmas to the big dinner. Too excited to leave it home, like a kid on --well --Christmas morning. (sorry - it had to be said ) There is still time to sign up if you haven't, simply come on in and I will put you on the list, and help you choose your background fabric. We are going to have so much fun, don't miss out on this one!! The book is even the special this Saturday, 10% off. Get your copy now, they have sold out more than once already.
Just remember that we will be closed Friday for New Years Day. After that there are some great things coming in January. Besides the usual clubs (see last weeks post for the handstitchers supply list) the following workshops all have room so far:
Crazy Quilt Heart Sweatshirt
If you’ve been admiring all of the great projects we’re doing in Crazy Quilt Club, here’s your chance to try your hand at this creative technique! The heart shape with simple embroidery and some sweet embellishments makes this the perfect garment to celebrate Valentine’s Day. Sure to warm your heart on a cold day! January 20 & 27, 1 pm - 3:30 $25.00
Duck Duck Goose- Scrap Therapy
Choose either a pair of placemats or this fabulous runner with lots of Flying geese units. The trick is in the trimming and the "Wing Clipper" makes it super accurate. Uses medium and small Scrap Therapy squares. January 14, 10-1, $15.00 You must have taken the cutting workshop.
Mystery Dessert
Sandy Bonsib has combined two things close to our hearts, Quilts and food. each project has a recipe that relates. This fun quilt surprises the maker with the look of plaid. With mostly squares and rectangles, its simple to construct, allowing the Mystery colors to Flavor the dark and light gray framework. You will love this delicious project. January 12 & 26, 1-4 pm, $30.00, Nancy Shackleton
Scallop Edge
This elegant edge can enrich your quilt or pillow shams, and isn't as hard as you would think. Perfect on your Egg Money Quilt, Lightning Strikes Twice , or a simple quilt for baby, you can take your edge to the next level. You must have a quilted project ready to bind for class. January 21, 1-4 pm, $15.00, Nancy Shackleton
Call, email or visit to sign up. Happy New Year!!
