November Schedule

With the second half of the jacket class and the Halloween festivities this week it should be a good one. There is a ragamuffin parade on Saturday at noon, so you may want to plan accordingly. Last year it wasn't very long, but lots of fun, especially for the kids. Remember that if you wear your costume to the shoppe you can take 20% off your in stock purchases. It is a great way to get into the spirit of the day. Below you will find the November Schedule. The website is up and you can go there to see events through January, but I know it is good for many of you to have it here also, so enjoy!

November Events
We began our new series in appliqué this summer with the basics. Now we’ll move onto some specialty techniques – one or two new ones in each session including Shadow Appliqué, Cathedral Windows and Stained Glass, to name a few. For this session we’ve chosen:
Poinsettia Pillow or Wall Hanging 
Fused and hand shaped leaves and petals combine with embroidered pine boughs and beaded berries to make a show stopping pillow or wall hanging. And, even better the technique is quick enough to make this a great last-minute gift item!
November 6 & 13, 1pm - 3:30 $25.00

Table Stripes Scrap Therapy 
Special fusible interfacing makes piecing all those small scrap therapy squares quick, easy and fun. Combine this with a fat quarter of a border print or stripe and you have a beautiful runner for gifting or your holiday table.
November 12, 10-1, $15.00, You must have taken the cutting workshop.

Waves, pebbles and puzzles 
The last workshop from One Line at a Time was a great success. This one introduces curves and free motion work. At this time or year especially, some time for your favorite hobby is very good for you, and you might just be able to use this new skill to finish a few last minute gifts.
November 24, 10 am-2, $20.00 (you can bring lunch)

Closed Nov 26-28, Happy Thanksgiving

Art Club - November 10

Tree Trimming Party!!
at 10 am on December 5, we will begin trimming our Holiday tree. Much of our Holiday trimmings were lost during the repairs done in our basement recently. If you donate a hand made ornament for our tree, or stitch with us that day on our Yo Yo and thread spool Garland, you will receive a "Stocking Stuffer Coupon" so you can give yourself a gift this holiday season. Refreshments will be served too.
