The Dutchess Heritage Quilt Show was a great success. Everyone seemed to have a great time, and the quilts were beautiful. The photo is of the Village Fabric Shoppe booth, which many of you visited, Thank You!! This coming weekend, Joan Ford, the originator of the Scrap Therapy will be visiting Wiltwyck Guild. She will also be doing several workshops. If you have taken a cutting workshop you may still sign up. I have information at the shoppe. Scrap therapy patterns and required notions are the special, 25% off. The Wiltwyck meeting and the Saturday workshop are actually going to be here in Red Hook, at the Masonic Hall, on Graves Street.
Those of you who have been waiting for the special orders from San Fransisco Herb Company can come in starting Wednesday to pick up your orders. I will have them all ready and invoiced for you by then. The Morgan Hoops in 10/14 size are also in.
Lastly, I want to share a fun tutorial I found on the web for "inchie"ornaments. http://inchiequilts.com/tutorials/inchie-ornaments/ Inchies are one inch square quiltlets that are being traded and collected through the internet and by many art quilt groups. This is a particularly nice way to make and display them. I would be delighted if some of you would make them for our Tree Trimming party, on the first Saturday of December. Remember, if you donate a handmade ornament, I have a stocking stuffer coupon for you so you can give yourself the gift you really want. It promises to be lots of fun.
