Get your entry forms mailed!

The quilts from the fair are stunning, If you wanted to get a closer look and couldn't, come on in and check them out. Several of the big ribbon winners are here. If you didn't get your piece done for the fair, the entry deadline for the First Dutchess Heritage Quilt Show is September 17. You may get the forms from www.dhquiltshow.org The Village Fabric Shoppe will be vending at this show, October 10 & 11. It is a good one. If you want some inspiration to get your work out there, check out the student gallery at Quilt University. The show is called Nature Rules, and you can click this link to get there. http://www.QuiltUniversity.com/exhibits/nature%20rules/nature1.htm The link is sort of long so if it doesn't work for you google Quilt University and click buttons to get to the gallery exhibit.

Now that winter hours return, (Starting Sept 8) things are going to get exciting, This week the Art Club will be making beaded snowflakes, and if you have taken the cutting workshop, you may join us for the Scrap Sack Scrap Therapy Project. I think I will be making a few of these for holiday gifts. Can you believe it is already time to begin thinking about that?!!

There are two schedule modifications I need to inform you about also, First, the Seasonal Houses that will start on Sept 15, will meet from 4 pm-7 pm in order to accommodate several teachers who will be back to school. Also, due to Hardscrabble day, Crazy Quilt Club will meet one week early, on the 19th. Lastly, the special for this weekend, the 11 & 12 is 15% off of "Quilts" a 16 month wall calendar with patterns for 13 quilts. They are beautiful. I know you and your quilting friends will want one of these to grace your walls.
