getting excited about a project

For those of you who love Crazy Quilts, you need to check out the results of a competition called, "Crazy for Quilts". It was sponsored by the Alliance for the American Quilt, and the results can be seen on their website. http://www.allianceforamericanquilts.org/ I promise you will be inspired. Another good site to check out if you are in the mood for some surfing is this blog post by Virginia Speigel about why we use fabric to create with as opposed to other medium. The address is a bit long but you can easily cut and paste it to your browser. http://www.virginiaspeigel.com/blog.archives/3150

It is all about being excited to get to work on a project. I got back from my trip all fired up for some new projects and I hope to help you get to feel that way too. When you do get the urge to do something new please share it. We are now in the process of getting the next schedule together and this is a great time for you to request exactly the workshops you want. I can tell you that the next Block of the month is based on the Kelmscot Quilt from William Morris in Applique, and Scrap Therapy Thursdays will continue. If any of you bring in a Scrap Therapy project for the class example program I have an additional bonus for you, a free Scrap Therapy pattern for place mats, which uses lots of your smallest scrap therapy sizes. They are really cute and quick to make, you could make up a few sets in no time, from your scrap box, and have great gifts for the holiday season.

The special this weekend is Thimbleberries yardage, they will be 30% off. Mostly one color prints in rich fall tones, these are versatile basics to have on hand in your stash. see you soon.
