Classes this week postponed

It is with great regret that I have to inform you that the Once Upon a Scrap workshop for Thursday, and the Runaround Bag this Saturday have to be postponed. I am recovering from a rough weekend of Bronchitis. I am not contagious, but I have a bit more recovery before I can run a class. The Once Upon a Scrap is tentatively re scheduled for Tuesday the 25th, but I will call those of you involved and confirm.

Anyone who wants to make a quick project that looks like you did alot more work than you did will love the special this Saturday, It is 10% off all three versions of gridded interfacing that I carry. I have on point, 2 inch straight, and the small grid for scrap therapy. The scrap therapy interfacing is used in both Once Upon a Scrap, and in the borders of Bloomin Steps, so check you patterns and get some this Saturday. The other grids can be used for super quick pieced place mats and runners that you can still make super gifts if you desire. Watercolor style, scrappy, or any other pattern in squares you desire, once you have done some of these you will want to make lots.

For Creativity Central I want you to condsider your labels. Especially when you are giving the item as a gift it is important to at least get your name and the date on it. Many of you have alphabets in your sewing machines pre set stitches, this is a simple way to do it. If it is a more significant or larger project, you may want to include the occasssion it is gifted for, the names of the recipients, and in practical terms even washing instructions are well appreciated. Labels can be simply written with a permanent pen - like a pigma, embroidered and applied, or as elaborate as you wish to be. The recipients will appreciate it now, and with a little care, the historians will love it in the future.

Lastly I want to remind you all that we will be closed for Thanksgiving, from the 27-29.
