Declare your Independence from the Quilt Police!!! Join us this coming Tuesday July 8, 7-9 pm, as our Art Quilt Forum creates and uses our own rubber stamps on fabric. It is easy, fun and allows you to create wonderful fabrics that no one else has. You need to bring fabric to stamp on, (fat quarters are fine) paper scissors, exacto blade if you have one, fabric paints if you have them, and a pencil. You may also bring any commercial stamps that you would like to try out on fabric. It is super fun.
We will be closed on the 4 th and 5th, which means the Block of the Month meeting is moved to July 12. We are almost done doing blocks so you may want to begin thinking about the setting you would like to use. Our book has about a half dozen options depending on the size quilt you desire and how many blocks you want to use. Yet one more way to declare your Independence.
Lastly, since we won't be open this Saturday for the usual special, There are selected patriotic themed patterns that are 10% off, ALL WEEK. These are good patterns for showing your patriotism, for a Quilt of Valor, or just for fun. Check them out and lets hope the bar-b-ques don't get rained out. (but if they do you have my permission to go inside and sew. ) See you soon.
