I can't believe it's already April. The corrections have been made on the Peking Kids project sheet and it is now available. We are finally back on normal schedules for our clubs after many weather related cancellations, but the Crazy Quilt Club has voted to extend the meeting time to three hours. They will now meet from 10-1, on Fourth Saturdays, for $15.00 per meeting. At the next meeting they will be beginnig a needlecase with beading. Our Block of the Month will meet on the second Saturday this month, April 12. This is due to a large number of our members being involved with a First Dutchess Quilters Guild event on the 5th.
Hand stitchers meets today, continuing with the Embroidered Miniature Quilt. Hand Quilting meets Thursdy night at 6:30 - 9:30, and we have room for a few more. I have some real goodies to show to that group of students.
Heart and Nine Patch is going to start up. It will meet for five Mondays, 10-1. The dates are April 7, 14, 28, May 5 & 12. We have room for two more, perfect if you know a friend that would like to learn so you could sign up together. You will completely finish the project by the end of classes. This is an absolute beginners level workshop, and everyone who signs up will be given 15% off all equipment and supplies for this class. We want you to work with Quality items. Your experience will be much more positive if your materials work the way they are supposed to. This includes your fabrics, there is a great variety of fabric out there, and not all of it is nice to quilt with. When you purchase from an independant retailer like the Village Fabric Shoppe, you know the staff and buyers really have your best interest at heart, and you will get a much better product, and better support in your quilting journey. (Not to mention helping your local economy)
This Saturday, selected Spring Patterns are 40% off. See you soon.
