New Batiks due in today!!

With baited breath I wait for the Fed Ex man. While I am waiting, I am working on the sample for the hand quilting quilting workshop being scheduled for February. This kind of cold weather is just right for hand quilting. Nothing is quite as peaceful as sitting and stitching under a beautiful quilt while watching a blanket of pure while transform the yard into a wonderland. Add some classical music, and a good hot cup of tea or cocoa and you have a perfect mini vacation.

Our open house to kick off the new schedule will be on Feb. 9, and we will have some great sales as well as new samples. We will also have new schedules in convenient hard copies. You may have them to keep in your project bags and keep notes on, and to pass out to your friends who are not yet quilters, but who might want to be. We are scheduling the beginner project, Hearts and Nine Patch so they can get started, and share our favorite obsession.

This Saturday, the special is button packs, These sets are intended for embellishments and normally range from 5-6 dollars. They are on sale for Three dollars this Saturday, January 26th.

I also want to remind you that we are still collecting donations for the American Cancer Society. I have a spinner rack full of back issue magazines that need good homes. They are yours for the taking, and as a thank you for your donation. There is hardly a person that is not affected by cancer in some way, and this organization has been chosen by members of my own family that have been treated for various types of cancer. Let's do our part to help, and if we can quilt while doing it then so much the better. See You soon!!
