big events coming soon!

We have so many things coming in the next week or two, you may wan to run and get your calendars so you can mark them all down. First, this Saturday is the Block of the month, you may still join us if you desire. We meet on the first Saturday at 9 am. You get three fat quarters in your chosen colors scheme, instructions, and more. This session we will talk about dyes from the civil war era, and how they impact on the quilts. In honor of this, the special is nature's Palette Organic Cottons. They use natural dyes, recipes that have been used since before 1856. They are 10% off.



Next Tuesday is Handstitchers, We will complete the Lyre block and perhaps begin the next, Lavender and Roses. It is also Mardi Gras, and on Tuesday we will have our own celebration, fat Quarter Tuesday. If you wear beads into the shoppe on Feb 5, All your fat quarters are one dollar each. We also have open house to kick off the new schedule on Feb 9. Great sales, new samples and the schedule in hard copy are all available for you on the ninth.

On the 12th, Block busters will be doing Exercise one, from chapter three of the Art Quilt Workbook. See page 31 in the book for a supply list. We will supply the pattern, and tracing paper. This technique is so valuable that we must all work with it so that when it is time to use one of our own designs we can do it without trouble.
