I woke up this morning to a beautiful white blanket of snow in my yard. It was sparkly, clean and lovely.... for about five minutes. Then it changed to rain and the illusion was gone. It struck me as typical of the holiday season, the occasional minute of pure happiness and joy, interspersed with lots of aggravations. We must hang onto the beautiful moments. To help you get more of the happy moments in your season, we have wish list forms waiting for you to fill out. These forms have a link to Santa's Quilter Elves, and even items not normally stocked may be obtainable with a little holiday magic. Then, every Saturday in December, your friends and family can come in and purchase items on your wish list at 15% off. (You don't get the discount.) We have cards that will let them know too. Items already on sale and class fees are exempt from the discount.
You work hard to make the season nice for those around you, you deserve a break too, and so we are providing you with two easy one session workshops you will love. On December first is Rustic Winter. Diane Johnson has tips and tricks to make this a fun and enjoyable project that you can carry with you and work on anywhere for a moment of sanity amid the bustle.
Ginny will be running the striped runner workshop on December 5. This is a quick and very adaptable technique based project that makes a wonderful gift, or a festive addition to your own holiday table.
I am also happy to announce the return of the four yard four fabric quilt pack. The new version is even quicker and easier than the previous one. This would make a great first quilt project, or a gift for the new quilter you want to inspire. Currently we have four different fabric packs.
Lastly I want to remind you that we will be closed Thursday Friday and Saturday this week. Have a wonderful Thanksgiving.!!!
