Five Years

This weekend, It will be Five Years that I have owned VFS. Time really flies. In the last five years, my daughter has become a lovely young girl, she was a pre-schooler when I took over the shoppe, the economy has tanked out, my husbands art career has taken off, and I have kept very busy-- The Shoppe has changed its look, its logo and gotten more artistic. Hard to believe that five years has gone by already, but with times the way they are, this feels like a really large accomplishment. I will be doing a key tag drawing on Saturday to celebrate, and to encourage you to fill yours and get in the running for this goodie bag worth more than $50.00, all in store fabrics ( yardage, Fat quarters, packs, and even decorator remnants ) are 20% off on Friday and Saturday. I will do the drawing at 4 pm on Saturday, so get that key tag filled before then.

This week, the Art Quilt Club will meet 10-12, on Tuesday and continue working with our custom designed blocks. Bring your design from last session, pencils, rulers, markers, and paper scissors. We will work with multiples, discuss and experiment with ways to arrange color and value for specific effects, and I will do a quick demo of using a computer program to make the process a bit quicker.
