Egg-cellent!!

We have been enjoying this wonderful weather, and wish all of you a Happy Easter, Passover, or whatever you celebrate. When the weekend is this beautiful, it deserves a celebration. It has me thinking about vacations and so the special this weekend is on the Big Book, The Quilter's Travel Companion, normally $19.95 down to $12.00. It s a national directory of quilt shops that can have you collecting fabrics anywhere in the 50 states. Headed to California, Arizona, or even Alaska this summer?- you need this book, and this is a great price.
I want to remind you that the summer row of Seasonal Houses begins on the 21st, with Nancy and Shoe Fly Pie will start as scheduled with Diane on the 22nd. The photo is a detail of Shoe Fly Pie. Please get signed up if you want to take part in this wonderful project. It is fat quarter friendly, and uses Thangles for the triangles. This one is too good to miss.
I also want to let you know that I have some great new things from our Friends at C & T publishing. "My Whimsical Quilt Garden" is 20 applique blocks full of fun and spring energy, "One Block Wonders Cubed!" Helps you create a 3-D illusion using a technique similar to stack and whack, and "Quilted Symphony" will help you create dynamic and exciting wall hangings from your own designs, in simple and easy to follow steps. Yes you can!!!! Come check them out in person.
Lastly, I want to remind you all that you need to be nice to my family as they hold down the shoppe for me while I am out teaching for First Dutchess Quilters Guild on Saturday. Because of this the Block of the Month doing the Kelmscott quilt won't be meeting. We will meet next at our regular time in May. Your April Kits can be picked up any time in April, or at the May Meeting. See you then!!
