April Schedule

Good News, Diane is recovering well and we are back on schedule. The one change from our posted schedule is that the NY Beauty workshop will be postponed till June. When we have dates for that we will post it here.



We are running a Million Pillowcase Challenge Incentive during the Entire month of April. Go to your stash, pick out some fabrics that have been there too long, and make a pillowcase using one of the free patterns at http://www.allpeoplequilt.com/ and bring it in to donate. We will let you choose a free fat quarter as a thank you. ( One free fat quarter per person per day ) With this incentive you can clean up your stash of things you won't use, and begin to replace them with fabrics that make your heart sing. You will also be helping meet this challenge, and bring a bit of beauty and hope to someone who really needs to know that somebody out there cares. If you read this regularly you, know I think this is a great way to give to your community.

A Tisket, A Tasket Block of the Month Project

You may have noticed that there is no April Meeting for the Kelmscott BOM. With Easter the first weekend, it should be on the 10th, but I accidentally double booked myself and will be teaching a machine quilting workshop for the Super Saturday event for the First Dutchess Quilt Guild. I haven't yet figured out how to be in two places at once. My husband will be watching the shoppe, but running a workshop is more than he can do. I apologise for this mix up, but you can all still come in to pick up the April kits ( and the few of you who haven't picked up March) any time during April, and we will simply cover two topics at our May Meeting.



Lastly, I have to share this link with you, about the Quilt Show at London's Victoria and Albert Museum. I wish I could get there for this, some of these pieces haven't been shown to the public in a great long time. Enjoy. www.thedyershand.blogspot.com
