March Events

Well, I hope the worst of winter is over. I know there are still some areas without power from this most recent pair of storms, but The Village Fabric Shoppe is all dug out and set to go for March. I am very ready for spring. I know I am not the only one craving the greening and blooming of Gardens, and the re opening of the local farm stands. To help us all out this weekend the special this weekend is on all books and patterns with flowers or gardens in the title. This includes the book for Shoe Fly Pie, titled Wild about Flowers. There are lots of choices, and it is my sincerest hope that they will help you through until the real flowers are blooming. If you want to jump into a new project, you have another chance at the Spring Houses workshop, it has been postponed twice due to weather, we are going to try again, and it is now scheduled for March 10 & 24, Also rescheduled is the Stenciling on Fabric Workshop, which will now be at 11am, Saturday March 6, After the William Morris group meets. Some of his designs would work as stencils, What a fun way to create a border for your Kelmscott quilt. The rest of the March Events are as follows:


Star Gazing Scrap Therapy +++

A Tisket, A Tasket Block of the Month Project
We’ll introduce this great block of the month project series with fusible appliqué and machine or hand stitching, a simple and quick way of getting a charming folk art appliqué look.
