Wow!!

All I can say is Wow!! - I got to see the Paula Nadelstern Exhibit yesterday. I was amazed by the complexity of image and the play of light over her pieces. All the quilts in her new book are there, and well displayed with several actual scopes to look at. You cannot currently get the book/catalog at the museum, they are sold out, but I still have a few copies. Even my husband and daughter were impressed. My hubby got a big kiss when he said, "You can do this, aren't you teaching these? -- I like your purple one better" He even listened attentively while I explained that the shimmer effect was due in no small part to the incredible silks that Paula uses. I have some cards from the show with all the travel info if you want to go. I will probably try to get there once more before it goes away.

This Thursday, Egg Money will be making the Grandmothers Flower Garden, using Quiltsmart. If you love this pattern but don't want to do all that English Paper Piecing, join us. Call for a materials list and to reserve a spot.

With Memorial Day this weekend, the crazy quilt club will not meet, their next meeting and the last day for the crazy quilt club show will be the 30th. Be sure that you come in and see all the wonderful work. The Holiday weekend also marks the move to summer hours. Tues- Fri., 11 - 5, 10- 5 on Sat. The summer hours are in effect until Labor Day. The special for Friday and Saturday of Memorial Day weekend is ten percent off of any fabric that is primarily Red White or Blue.
