Summer!!

I hope you enjoyed Open House, I know many of you left the shoppe Saturday with lots of great inspiration and now it is time to act on it. The summer workshops are designed to be fast, fun and mostly confined to one day, so you need to drive to us only once. Our Air conditioned classroom is also available as long as there is no class going on. Getting away from home for a day of sewing is a great way to combat stress and doing it locally at Village Fabric Shoppe saves gas too.

If you need it right now, Art Camp for Grownups begins this Thursday, During the first session we will concentrate on creating a hand painted focus fabric for your art quilt. We have room for two more and if you are interested you may email and I will send you the supply list over the net. villagefabricshoppe@gmail.com

Friday is the first Quilts of Valor Sewing Day. If you want to download your own copy of the pattern you can get the "split Star" pattern at www.thangles.com We will have fabrics and directions and even a sewing machine or two. All you need to do is show up ready to help. If you want to donate patriotic fabrics, or already finished blocks, tops or quilts, the Quilts of Valor Program will take it all. It is our goal to send 10 quilts or tops by the end of the summer. For more information on this program you may check out the national website for the organization at www.govf.org

I want to remind you that we are on summer hours now, Tues - Fri, 11 - 5,
