Art Camp for Grownups!!!

Announcing the first ever Village Fabric Shoppe Art Camp for Grownups!!

Creating Art should be approached with a spirit of exploration, and a willingness to play. Quilt Art in particular requires so many differing techniques to finish a piece, that approaching the subject with the summer camp attitude is a perfect fit. You won't need to bring your pillow, but this three session intensive workshop will start with creating (or altering) an image on fabric using inks. In the second session we will use improvisational piecing and fusing to create a quilt top, and in the last session we will embellish with thread and free motion quilting. You will receive coaching and instruction during the first two hours of the day, (10-12) and then be free to stay all day if you desire, to continue on your project. By the end of the last day you will have completed an art quilt about 18 x 24 inches, suitable for framing or hanging on the wall. The dates are June 19, June 24, and June 26. Please let us know if you plan to take part as soon as possible so that we can plan accordingly. Some of the more unusual supplies for this workshop will be provided so you may enjoy the experimentation process. Don't miss this chance to run away from everyone and send yourself to Art Camp for Grownups!!
