This is a big weekend in Red Hook. Apple Blossom Festival is always fun, and there will be lots of sales at the Shoppe too. All kits are 25% off. Crazy Quilt Starter Kits, Just 4 Fun Kits, Pillowcases, Spirit Pins, Pieced Album Blocks, Basic and Super Basic kits all on sale. Also all clearance fabrics are only $2.99 per yard and loose fat quarters are $1.50.
Come on in for the sales and stay to sew at our Sew In. We are opening our classroom to help anyone who wants to, to make a nine patch block for a local Child undergoing chemotherapy. We Will have volunteers on hand and machines and materials waiting. If you can use a pair of scissors, and reach the foot pedal of a machine, you can do this. We also have an exhibition of nine patch quilts in our gallery space so you can get inspired by the simple nine patch block to make more quilts. The free project sheet for this month is nine patch instructions for those who can't spend the time quilting on Saturday but still want to participate.

Our Art Quilt Group, Block busters, will meet next Tuesday, 7 pm. and continue working on curved piecing. If you need help with the technique, feel free to bring your sewing machine and materials for some troubleshooting. Otherwise we will focus on piecing order, when applique is more appropriate, and other curvy issues. see you all soon!
