Well, lots going on this week, First, Tonight is Blockbusters. You need to bring a background fabric about 9" x 12", and three or four chunks of fabric in analagous colors that is backed with fusible web. You will also want scissors and possibly a pencil. We are exploring fabric collage.
Tomorrow is the first session of Winding ways. This practically pinless approach makes curved piecing practically painless. The Acrylic templates are now here, and we have room for one more in the workshop. The store sample is in vibrant purple and a light floral, but it works just as well in scraps. I will try to get the image uploaded this afternoon. Nancy is getting ready to quilt one and let me snap a few photos.
This Saturday is National Quilting day. I will be at the Wiltwyck meeting in the morning doing a product demo on the Morgan Double hoops. The shoppe is open regular hours, be nice to my helpers. I hope you spend a little time at least on Saturday sharing your quilting with the world. It is a great opportunity to get a young person interested. We have several simple projects available for beginners, from spirit pins that are basic embroidery, The Just four Fun kits that teaches strip piecing and rotary cutting, and even the basic quilting workshop that finishes the Heart and Nine Patch Quilt. We also have hand quilting coming in April.
The Just four Fun Kits are regularly $25.00, for National Quilting Day they are on sale at $20.00 New color combinations are available, including one in batiks. Don't miss it.
