Today is Mardi Gras. If you come in to the shoppe today wearing beads (of any Kind) you can purchase your fat quarters for one dollar each. Fat Quarter Tuesday was so much fun last year we have decided to make it an annual event.
This Saturday is our official kickoff of the new spring schedule. There are lots of wonderful classes and workshops set to go. By Saturday we will have hard copy for you to keep in your project bag, and it will be up on the website any moment now. There are samples and sales.
You all want to know what is on sale, the print wall and the color wall will both be 20% off, as will batiks and black and white and red and white collections. In addition, if you sign up for a beginner level course (Heart and Nine patch, or hand quilting) you may take 15% off materials and equiptment for that class. The one yard clearance cuts are also on sale for $3.00. There will be discounts on selected books and kits as well. This is a must attend event.
One additional announcement, Blockbusters will be doing the Pear exercise from chapeter three of the Art Quilt Workbook. I will send you all a detailed list of needed materials. If you are not on the list for that club, please e-mail or stop by for more information. This technique of using fusible is very useful, and every serious quilter should at least try it out.
