Are you ready for Mardi Gras?

Tuesday March 8 is the day known in some circles as Fat Tuesday. Around here, we know it as Fat Quarter Tuesday. For the past few years, we have enjoyed the excesses of the day as quilters. As long as you wear some beads when you come to the shoppe, Pre cut Fat quarters can be yours for only a dollar each. With the rising cost of cotton, this is a deal not to be passed over. Don't forget to wear some beads, but as with fat quarters, it is way more fun to wear lots.


Tomorrow Sat March 5, , Magic Garden will meet at 9 am. At this March Meeting, we will look at Big Stitch Quilting, and I will Demo the benefits of using MistyFuse. You will love the soft feel of fabrics fused with this product. Jamie Fingal also did a demo with this with some help for Bonnie McCaffery, and this is the link to the video.

As a reminder, if you are not a BOM member, you can still attend the meeting for a fee of $25.00. This includes the demos and open classroom time all day with our templates and basic materials.

Coming up next week, on Tuesday the Art Club will explore Zentangles. Yes it looks like we are finally going to be able to meet and have some good clean fun with this wonderful process.

I also want to remind you that Huckleberry Pie and Improv workshops are due to start soon. Please be sure to sign up and pay your registration. If we don't have enough paid registrations a week before the class is due to start we have to cancel. Don't let the project you want slip away. And yes, this post is a day earlier than ususal. Saturday posts are getting harder to fit in, so I have made the executive decision to move the regular post day to Friday. It gives you a bit more lead time to get set for the coming week and allows those of you who check this blog from work to do so before you leave for the weekend.
