October Schedule

Here is the schedule of events for October.

Texas Star by Hand
Join our hand stitchers club in October as we begin this stunning quilt. It will take as many monthly meetings as we need, and we will hand quilt feathers ( with Trap unto if you feel brave ) as the icing on the cake. The pattern has a five point pieced star and a circular braided border. Hand stitching can bring a relaxation and peace of mind that few other activities can, - and the by product is a great quilt!!! First Tuesdays, 10-12 $10.00 per meeting.

Fabric Bowl
You'll be BOWLed over by how much fun these are to make. Like potato chips- bet ya can't make just one!! Join us to get a Head Start on your holiday gift making and decorating. Thursday October 14, 6:30-9:30, Diane Johnson, $18.00

Scottie Dogs
This adorable block uses a fusible Interfacing method of appliqué that gives you the look of hand work. It can be made very scrappy or more coordinated, and makes a great "boy" quilt too, Pull out all your thirties fabrics, or plaid scraps and let your project go to the dogs!!!

Stylish Go Anywhere Purse
This not too big, not too little purse is so quick to make and fun to personalize you may want to make one for every "girl" on your list. The button hides the Velcro closure, so no need to make a buttonhole, and the inside pockets can be sized to hold all the stuff you need it to, from pens to cell phones to keys. UFO Days with Nancy
Many of you have taken workshops with Nancy for one of her larger quilts and need to get them finished. Nancy has agreed to be here every Wednesday in October and November to help you pick it up where you left off and get it done. Wednesdays, October and November, 1-4 $18.00 per session.


Since I don't have the rest of the schedule ready- still finalizing dates, we are not doing a registration week yet, but if you come in Friday or Saturday and pay the registration fee for your workshop, I will give you 20% off the supplies for that class as the special. The Scottie Dogs quilt and the Texas Star require patterns, I have supply lists for all of it, in fact the supply list for the Texas Star is on the club supplies blog. I hope to be painting all weekend, so come on in and get signed up for a fall project, and see the transformation of our store interior!!
