New Redwork Ornament

The new redwork ornament pattern is here. If you haven't bee with us long, you may not know of the annual project. Every November since taking over the shoppe, I have made available an original redwork ornament pattern. Each years is unique and only available that year. This years design is a candy cane, as I thought that we could all use something sweet this season - and it doesn't even have any calories. Kits are also available.

This Tuesday we have the Art Quilt Club, please bring your symmetry pieces from last month for discussion. This Thursday at 10 am is Table Stripes, a Scrap Therapy project. There is still room for those of you who have taken the cutting workshop -( or those of you who could come in for an impromptu one on Wednesday - call to arrange it)

I wanted to share a link with you to a video of Charolette Warr Anderson, the authour of One Line At A Time, takling to Bonnie Lynn McCaffery about the new book. We are doing a free motion workshop on the 24th based on this book. It isn't a long clip, but it will give you a good idea what it is all about. The technique is brilliant. and easier to learn than you would think. There is still time to sign up. http://www.bonniemccaffery.com/vidcasts/040.html

Below is a notice posted on one of the forums I belong to, regarding a very valuable Crazy Quilt on Antiques Roadshow. The following is a direct quote from the APWQ facebook page. I think there are a few of you who might want to see this.

Association of Pacific West Quilters - APWQ (APNQ) The folks at Antiques Roadshow just advised APWQ of a special edition of Roadshow, airing Monday, November 23 at 8/7C PM on most PBS stations, called ?Relative Riches.? It features a c. 1890 crazy quilt brought to the Seattle Antiques Roadshow event in 2002. The wonderful condition of the quilt and it?s importance as a piece of Seattle history led the appraiser to estimate its value at $10,000. Be sure to watch!

So there you have it and the special is buy three fat quarters and get the fourth free. - have a good week.
